What Concrete Leveling Actually Does

Polyurethane concrete leveling works by injecting a dense, expanding foam beneath a sunken slab through small holes drilled into the surface. As the foam expands, it fills voids in the soil and applies gradual, controlled pressure to raise the slab back toward its original position. The process is designed to lift and stabilize concrete that has settled, not to alter or rebuild the slab itself.

Because leveling works with the existing concrete, it depends on that concrete being sound enough to lift as a single piece. It does not add new material to the slab, does not change its thickness, and is not a way to reshape or resize concrete. What Concrete Replacement Involves

Depending on the project, the base underneath may also need to be excavated, regraded, and compacted before new forms are set.
